FORT MILL — Rain or shine, Homer’s Heroes Challenge Tug-of-War was going down. At stake were bragging rights for men who help keep Fort Mill safe. Hours before the benefit Tug-of-War started, the Fort Mill police and fire department exchanged words. “They’re doing a rain dance so it will rain,” Fire Chief Ken Kerber said of the police department. “They don’t want to face us. In fact, they’re buying their Halloween masks right now because they don’t want to be seen in public when they lose.” (more…)
