CHARLESTON – Seven people are now safe after the Coast Guard rescued them Sunday morning. All seven people were aboard a thirty-eight foot powerboat that capsized. Officials say they were notified at about 10:00pm Saturday night, from the wife of the boat owner that the boat did not come back on time.
The boaters were located at about 6:02am this morning, about thirty miles east of Charleston. All survivors were taken to MUSC to be evaluated.
