BERKELEY COUNTY – A BCSO Deputy collided with trees on Jehovah Rd. near Old Hwy 6. The Deputy was reportedly attempting to catch up with a suspicious vehicle when he lost control of his cruiser and crashed into several trees off the side of the road.
Other Deputies arrived and urgently requested EMS and a Medical Helo.
Cross FD set up the landing zone for the helicopter.
MEDUCARE transported the Deputy to the hospital. His condition is not know as of print time.
HAMPTON COUNTY – A HCSO Deputy was involved in an MVA with three other cars on Monday morning. The incident happened in front of the Gate Gas Station on Elm Street. Reports from the scene stated that one person was ejected. Total number of patients transported was eight.
Another accident had occurred just previous to this one and the area was jammed up for several hours due to the investigations.
Responding to the scene were Hampton Fire Department, Varnville Fire Department, and Hampton County EMS.
