I am going to be moving to the sumter area from colorado. I am a NREMT and NFPA certified EMT/FF1 with additional certs in hazmat ops and wildland firefighting. Just wondering if anybody can fill me in on how often the larger departments in South Carolina (such as Charleston and Greenville) hire new firefighters? I currently live in Wisconsin with all my fire protection certifications and paramedic degree and am very interested in relocating to the area.
